This position serves as a Senior Developer, coordinating and conducting complex application development using GenTax, Microsoft SQL, VB.Net programming language for the database design, program design, and the supplied Gen Tax tools for testing the new processes.
In this role, you will liaison with user community for changes and enhancements to the Unemployment Insurance Tax in the Gen Tax Integrated Tax System.

Serves as a liaison with the State of Illinois IDES department, ensuring clear communication and alignment with state requirements.
Develops and maintains essential documentation, including test plans, scripts, operational guidelines, and application documentation to ensure quality assurance and standards compliance.
Keeps abreast of new developments in the Information Technology field by continuing education through meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors, techniques, and procedures.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to four (4) years of college with course work in computer science, or directly related fields.
Requires three (3) years of professional experience in computer Application Services or related IT field.
Specialized Skills Requires three (3) years of professional experience designing, reverse engineering, developing, or coding programs utilizing VB.NET, C# or similar object-oriented programming language, application programming, database management systems, business process analysis/systems/analysis and design.
Requires three (3) years of professional experience tracking and managing changes to software code utilizing version control methodology.
Requires three (3) years of professional application development experience with Commercial off the shelf application solutions such as Fast Enterprise Gentax or similar business tax software.
