LocationThis role will have the option to be in a Work From Near (Hybrid) capacity based out of one of our offices OR in a Work From Anywhere (Remote) capacity with travel to clients and WillowTree offices expected.
The OpportunityAs the Senior Director, AI & Gen AI, you will lead the current Global AI & Gen AI practice across multiple geographies, driving the strategy, growth, and delivery of data-driven solutions for clients, leveraging data science, AI & Gen AI technologies.
ResponsibilitiesDefine global AI & Gen AI vision, product, technical strategy, and framework. Develop and execute the overall strategy for the services, aligning with company goals and market trends.Sell and deliver complex and innovative AI & Gen AI projects for our clients, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, machine learning engineers, Gen AI engineers, conversational AI experts, and LLM experts.Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, guiding them on leveraging AI & Gen AI to drive business outcomes.Identify opportunities to grow the practice, working closely with sales teams to build relationships with new and existing clients.Lead the expansion of the global AI & Gen AI practice through the recruitment and coaching of global talent.Establish and refine processes to improve operational efficiency, service delivery, and overall practice performance.Stay at the forefront of AI & Gen AI advancements, incorporating emerging technologies into practice offerings.Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, such as publishing articles and speaking at industry events.Minimum Qualifications10+ years of experience in data and AI services and 1+ years in Gen AI services.Proven leadership experience in data and AI, or a related role.Prior experience leading client data technical engagements across data engineering, data science, AI, and Gen AI workstreams.Strong leadership and proactive communication skills.Experience with delivering solutions on major cloud platforms.Strategic mindset with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for leveraging data.Strong business acumen, with experience in managing P&L and client engagements.Bonus PointsMaster's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or similar.Experience that spans across consulting, agency, and client-side roles.Why WillowTree?We offer a place to be yourself, with a culture that supports your growth and cares about your well-being.
