We are seeking an accomplished Director ofComputational Biologyto lead innovative projects at the intersection of computational biology, drug discovery, and advanced analytics with one of our clients in Biotech. This is a unique opportunity to drive transformative research and development initiatives, focusing on cutting-edge technologies in genomics, transcriptomics, and machine learning.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a forward-thinking roadmap for computational biology initiatives to support drug discovery efforts.Research & Development: Apply expertise in computational biology to analyze complex datasets, including transcriptomics.Team Management: Build and lead high-performing, multidisciplinary teams to deliver impactful results.Technology Innovation: Spearhead the integration of functional genomics tools such as scRNA-seq, drug-seq, and high-content imaging into research workflows.Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.Grant Writing: Lead efforts in securing research funding through grants, partnerships, and collaborations.Industry Engagement: Represent the organization through high-profile publications, presentations, and conference participation.Requirements: Education: PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Genomics, or a related field.Experience: A minimum of 10 years in drug discovery within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.Technical Expertise: Deep experience with computational biology and machine learning, particularly in transcriptomics and functional genomics technologies.Track Record: Strong publication history and recognized thought leadership within the field.Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.Can this be interesting for you or anyone you know?
