Senior Director / Director Of Professional Services San Francisco, California

As the Director or Senior Director of Professional Services, you will lead and grow a high-impact services organization within the developer tools and infrastructure software space. Reporting to the VP of Enterprise Solutions, and working closely with the executive leadership team, you will have end-to-end responsibility for the Professional Services business, including strategy development, P&L management, services definitions, product/customer escalations, team building, and customer success. This role requires exceptional leadership, technical expertise, creativity with services adoption and the ability to build trusted partnerships with Fortune 500 companies. You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing and Customer Success to align services offerings with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:Own and manage P&L for the Professional Services organization, ensuring revenue growth and profitability.Develop scalable processes, frameworks, and best practices to deliver high-quality implementation, consultative services, and custom solutions for enterprise customers.Lead, recruit, and retain top talent in professional services, creating a high-performing team.Collaborate with Sales to drive the services sales pipeline, create proposals, and engage with enterprise customers in pre-sales and post-sales activities.Define and measure KPIs, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.In addition to services attach, you will be measured on velocity of Hasura adoption, onboarding, expansion.Build strategic partnerships with key stakeholders across Fortune 500 clients to ensure successful adoption of our solutions and to identify expansion opportunities.Develop service packages and delivery methodologies that align with evolving market needs and internal product strategy.Provide leadership in complex customer engagements, especially where knowledge of APIs, developer tooling, or infrastructure software is required.Work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to escalate critical product defects and offer customer insights that shape future product roadmaps.Requirements:10+ years of experience in professional services, with 5+ years leading teams in the developer tools or infrastructure software space.Demonstrated success in managing a P&L business and achieving profitability and revenue targets.Experience working with Fortune 500 companies and navigating large, complex enterprise environments.Strong background in project management, consulting and customer success at the enterprise level.Ability to develop process and methodologies to scale services delivery efficiently.Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams to align on shared goals.Exceptional leadership skills, with experience hiring, mentoring, and leading high-performance professional services teams.Deep understanding of APIs, developer tools, or software infrastructure solutions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage at the C-suite level and build trusted relationships with key stakeholders.Gravitas and executive presence, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders effectively.Flexibility to adapt schedule for early morning collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.A technical undergraduate degree, software engineering or product management background preferred.Nice to have:Experience working with APIs particularly GraphQL and enterprise developer focused products.Experience delivering generative AI solutions to enterprise customers a strong PLUS.Background in building or consulting around cloud-native infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, or DevOps tools.Experience in designing and implementing customer success strategies for complex software solutions.Familiarity with agile delivery models.MBA or equivalent advanced degree in business or technology management.Location:We hire candidates from all states across the U.S., offering the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the country or from our office in San Francisco.
