Job Title: Senior Director, Hardware Engineering Leader Ultrasound
Senior Director, Hardware Engineering Ultrasound (Bothell, WA) The Global Hardware Engineering Leader defines and drives the technical direction for our Hardware Engineering group within the Ultrasound business and manages the overall capabilities of the department to ensure that business objectives can be met as it pertains to Hardware engineering, technology and product development.
Your role: Member of the R&D Leadership Team determines (in consultation with the Leadership Team) the global Hardware Engineering team's objectives, policies, processes and budgets on short and long term, makes sure that the organization can meet the objectives and ensures that the roles and responsibilities are put in place. Is accountable and responsible for the development of new hardware platforms and components for systems, including defining requirements, designing mechanical and electrical interfaces, and testing and validating designs to build sustainable products with quality that meet customer needs and objectives. Accountable for the execution of all HW components across the Ultrasound portfolio and its 5 separate physical platforms, including within Ultrasound teams, via Philips partners (IE STET and I&S/IEN), via external co-development partners, and via complete outsourcing models. Senior people leader with direct responsibility for development and growth of their teams, is a champion of the Philips Culture and is expected to drive change across the organization. Manages and integrates clearly diverse Hardware development functions through subordinate leaders. Manages different functional/competency teams, units and respective budgets within R&D Hardware development focused on shaping and delivering new or upgrading existing Hardware. Drives continuous improvement of Hardware engineering processes in the team and strives for efficiency and the highest standards of quality in everything the team does while on-boarding best practices and functional tooling from other business units and external standards and benchmarks. You're the right fit if: You've acquired 15+ years of relevant (Leadership + Technical) experience, including minimum five (5) or more years' experience in hardware development within the health technology industry. Your skills include minimum 5+ years managing medium sized globally distributed teams (45+ FTEs) up to and including director level reports, with direct line management and budget accountability > 20M required. You have a bachelor's degree in engineering. You must have demonstrated experience in development leadership for classified medical devices with both hardware and software components required. You're a strong leader with ability to demonstrate impact to business in prior roles, including evidence of continuous improvement (including software quality improvement), building high-performing teams and developing talent. How we work together: We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.

Philips Transparency Details: The pay range for this position in (WA) is $198,000 to $366,000. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
