Medical Analytics, a team within BMS Business Insights & Technology, works with the Medical Affairs organization and leverages advanced analytics to inform and drive medical strategy, clinical pipeline development, and Medical Evidence Generation performance improvements. The Senor Director, Head of Medical Analytics leads analytic strategy and delivery in several high priority therapeutic areas for Global Medical Affairs informing business and medical decisions through rigorous analysis of internal and external data.

This Analytics Leader collaborates with Global Medical Affairs, Field Medical, Commercial, and Cell Therapy Leadership to optimize medical resources and facilitate strategic decision making. She/he work closely with counterparts in Commercial, Cell Therapy, and Development Analytics to help optimize medical deployment and engagement, connect field medical strategy and tactics with those of home office and development operations, drive accelerated delivery of clinical trial portfolio, and deliver actionable intelligence for continuous performance improvement.

The Senor Director, Head of Medical Analytics will be the "go to" partner for senior WW/US Medical Affairs leadership; supporting multiple launches in US and multiple ex-US markets; proactively understanding and prioritizing stakeholders' key objectives, needs, and challenges; identifying opportunities to advanced analytics to drive medical strategy and impact; leading medical analytics delivery across the therapeutic areas; driving meaningful impact and outcomes from actionable insights, emerging trends, and effective analytic approaches
that measure and demonstrate business impact by Medical Affairs.

Key Responsibilities
Serve as the analytics partner and "go to" contact for medical data and analytics that enable Global Medical Affairs leadership including Worldwide and US, Commercial TA leads
Partner closely with the Global Medical Affairs leadership team, including Worldwide and US Medical Therapeutic Area Leads, to understand and prioritize their business objectives and drive data analytics roadmap
Lead analytic delivery for medical engagement for all medical therapeutic areas ensuring effective use of advanced analytic solutions, data and insight-driven performance management, and continuous improvement of medical impact for launch excellence and accelerated delivery of clinical trial portfolio
Provide expanded analytic support including multiple launches in the US and several ex-US markets
Devise effective outcomes-driven analyses to optimize Medical strategy and resourcing to help drive enterprise performance
Partner with WW Medical Therapeutic Area teams and Medical Evidence Generation teams to develop analytics frameworks that support portfolio decision making. Collaborate with internal solution leads and scale MEG metrics to drive value and risk assessment
Collaborate with US Medical Home Office and Field leadership to drive launch strategy via innovative customer segmentation and co-develop performance scorecards for leadership reporting
Drive quarterly business review for WW Medical Therapeutic Area leadership teams to enable performance measurement of portfolio across key medical priority pillars. Enable integration of performance metrics into Global Medical metrics and support Quarterly Metrics Review for Medical Leadership Team
?Analyze and communicate highly impactful insights and trends from field and home office medical and perform root-cause analysis with key stakeholders. Share actionable intelligence, best practices, and learnings across the Medical matrix globally
Elevate our capabilities in Perception Analytics and Medical Evidence Generation insights analysis for Medical Affairs, driving impactful strategies and tactics
Work effectively with key stakeholders and vendors to deliver results on time and on budget
Collaborate closely with Commercial Analytics, Cell Therapy Analytics, and Development Analytics leads to provide a holistic data and analytics strategy to WW Medical Therapeutic Area teams
Promote effective working relationships with internal partners and leverage internal data science/AI and realworld analytics capabilities. Establish effective cross-functional work practices
Leads and develops a high performing Medical Analytics team (4-5 team members)
Drives a high-performance culture by fostering innovation, collaboration, customer focus, accountability, and commitment to increase the impact of Medical Analytics
Establishes the metrics to track the impact of Medical Analytics
Reviews performance, and oversees the development of a plan to address any deviation from the expected performance

Qualifications & Experience
Experience – at least 10+ years in business analytics, medical, clinical, forecasting, and data science; specialized experience in pharma drug development, clinical operations, medical affairs or operations, real world data a plus
Bachelor's degree in Medical Science, Pharma, Statistics, Engineering, Finance or other science or quantitative field. Master's/MBA degree is preferred
Functional Expertise – strong knowledge and application of business analytics, predictive modeling, and data science/AI in Clinical and/or Medical. Compelling business acumen and ability to drive value that Clinical/Medical analytics deliver and influence strategic decisions. Capacity to independently draw inferences from disparate or incomplete data, identify and frame key analytic applications, and link to business implications. Understanding of internal and external pharma data sources including structured and unstructured data
Strategic Agility - proven thought leadership and influencing skills with recognized execution of strategic decisions and end-to-end business initiatives.
Change Agent - proven ability to establish credibility and influence stakeholders through both formal and informal leadership; flexibility and responsiveness to changing business needs and priorities
Drive for Results – track record of meaningful value creation and solution delivery through innovative ideas and agile execution for multiple projects; capacity for rapid re-prioritization of work as required
