The RoleThe Senior Director, Marketing Effectiveness is a strategic, high-impact role responsible for leading the development and execution of a comprehensive marketing measurement and effectiveness strategy across Wyndham's North American brand portfolio. This role will operate with a high level of autonomy and decision-making authority to build and manage the measurement frameworks, tools, and analyses that guide marketing investment decisions and measure performance impact.
Reporting to the VP, Media & Brand Marketing, the Senior Director will collaborate cross-functionally and with external agency partners to ensure all marketing efforts align with the company's business growth and brand objectives with a focus on optimizing media effectiveness and delivering actionable insights. This individual will own and be accountable for third party measurement investment decisions, providing critical guidance to the Wyndham Commercial Organization for how to effectively demonstrate the effectiveness of marketing investments. This role will lead collaboration with Guest Intelligence on the practical application and execution of Wyndham's first party data in Consumer-facing Marketing efforts, including personalization efforts, journey mapping and more.
What you'll doResponsibilities Marketing Effectiveness Leadership & Strategy Lead and own the company's marketing effectiveness agenda, developing and implementing a strategic framework to measure, evaluate, and optimize marketing impact across all brand and performance media channels.Build and enhance multi-channel measurement methodologies, including advanced attribution models, to drive data-driven decision-making that maximizes ROI and supports scalable marketing effectiveness across the organization.Investment Optimization & Insight-Driven Decision Making Drive the optimization of media investments by designing and managing predictive models and performance dashboards that track key metrics, including customer acquisition, guest lifetime value (LTV), and overall brand health.Develop and own a rigorous test-and-learn agenda, using insights from the customer data platform (CDP) to enhance targeting accuracy and refine audience segmentation strategies, maximizing the impact of every dollar spent on media.Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence Serve as Media & Brand Marketing's strategic advisor to Guest Intelligence, providing the insights and analytics necessary to inform key marketing strategies and align media spend with business priorities.Build and strengthen relationships with external agency partners to ensure accuracy, innovation, and agility in reporting and analytics, supporting real-time optimizations that enhance the impact of media campaigns and drive brand growth.Performance Reporting & Executive Communication Own the development of comprehensive reporting and deliver impactful insights to executive leadership, demonstrating how media investments contribute to revenue growth and brand equity.Utilize data storytelling to translate complex analytics into clear, concise recommendations, influencing high-level decisions and promoting transparency in budget allocation and media strategy effectiveness.Team Capability Building Drive Media & Brand Marketing team development by promoting continuous learning and the adoption of industry best practices in marketing measurement.Data Governance & Quality Assurance Ensure data accuracy and reliability across all performance metrics, establishing data governance protocols and quality assurance measures that enhance trust in analytics.Own accountability for data integrity in collaboration with third-party data providers, ensuring consistent, reliable insights that support critical business decisions.You'll be successful if you haveAnalytical and results-driven, with demonstrated expertise in media performance measurement, ROI analysis, and attribution modeling.Data-driven storytelling skills, with the ability to present complex insights clearly to stakeholders at all levels, including the executive team.Strong communication and presentation skills, demonstrating integrity and the capacity to build professional trust and rapport across the organization.Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple initiatives effectively and ensure accuracy in a dynamic environment.Collaborative and strategic mindset, with a passion for problem-solving and the ability to align data insights with business priorities.Required Qualifications/Experience10-15 years of experience in media performance and analytics, ideally within hospitality, travel, or retail, with an emphasis on driving eCommerce and retail revenue.Proficiency in analytics and visualization tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Tableau, MMM, MTA and a leading CDP, along with experience using ad-serving platforms like Google Campaign Manager.COMPANY OVERVIEW:Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is the world's largest hotel franchising company by the number of properties with approximately 9,200 hotels across over 95 countries on six continents.
