General Description:

The Senior Director, New Markets, Finance will be a key member of the New Markets leadership team, responsible for leading the finance function across countries in Latin America, the Middle East, Israel, Africa, Turkey, Russia, Serbia, and others.
Reporting directly to the SVP, Commercial Finance, this role will partner with the New Markets head to deliver on business objectives and company goals in these emerging regions.
The Senior Director will be key in connecting the finance teams (FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, IT, etc) and other key functions, including supply chain, legal, and regulatory.
The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment where they will establish the finance function, build processes, and create financial procedures to support the business in the New Markets.
This individual will need to address both strategic and operational challenges with a hands-on approach, playing a significant role in developing the finance capabilities required to meet the company's objectives.
The incumbent will lead and develop a small team of 4 members located in various regions.
We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated, and organized leader who is results-oriented, with strong communication skills and a problem-solving mindset.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead Financial Planning: Oversee annual operating planning, forecasts, and long-range financial planning.
Monthly Results/ Analysis: Discuss monthly financial results, providing variance analysis.
Review risks and opportunities with country leaders and propose mitigation actions.
Support Business Decision Making: Collaborate with the New Markets Commercial team to develop business cases that support decision-making processes.
Build Finance Function: Identify organizational needs and build out finance functions such as FP&A, Accounting, Controllership, Procurement, Logistics, and IT to support New Markets operations.
Strategic Finance Partner: Act as a key finance business partner to the New Markets general manager and other functional leads.
Process Improvement: Recommend solutions for business, process, technical, and analytical challenges to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Third-Party Management: Collaborate with the Accounting team to manage third-party payroll and accounting service providers.
Procure-to-Pay Cycle: Assist business partners with practical aspects of the Procure-to-Pay cycle.
Operational Integration: Support the operational integration of logistics, wholesalers, and other stakeholders in the material and financial supply chain.
Policy Development: Participate in the development and ongoing refinement of accounting policies, procedures, and operational strategies, including process and system changes.
Ad Hoc Projects: Handle miscellaneous projects as they arise, assisting the New Markets team with multi-country initiatives.
Education Required:

Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field is required.
MBA is desirable.
Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree with15+ years of relevant experience in Financial Planning and Analysis.
Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with multiple functions and teams.
Effective communication skills (verbal and written), necessary for daily interaction with senior management, both within the country and across global corporate functions.
Ability to thrive in a in a start-up like setting, dynamic and fast paced international environment - flexibility, team oriented, collaborative work style and a positive can-do attitude.
Experience of working with international headquarters (HQ) is important

Excellent technical and analytical skills in finance, financial analysis, and budgeting.
Ability to complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy utilizing strong analytical and organizational skills.
Strong sense of accountability and ownership.
Experience with maintaining systems of internal control.
SAP experience; TM1 experience; Think Cell; Advanced Excel and Power Point.
Minimum travel requirements within Latin America, Middle East, Africa and US.
English fluent is mandatory; Spanish and Portuguese is a plus.
Travel:

Domestic and international travel approximately 25%.
