Summary of Position: We are searching for a Senior Director of Commercial Training to help support, grow and foster Scholar Rock's team of patient centric, collaborative and excellence driven professionals. You will lead the creation and effective implementing of curriculums for disease and product education, enhancing engagement competencies to ensure effective business execution that drives results while enabling employees to grow and thrive. You will partner across the Commercial team and work directly with leaders and individual contributors to set the short and long-term vision for Commercial Training. The successful candidate will effectively partner with relevant departments, including field and Commercial leadership, marketing, market access, commercial operations, medical affairs, legal, and HR.  This individual should inspire a dynamic culture and lead by example, respecting and living out the Scholar Rock values. 
\n Position Responsibilities: Oversee development of training plan that addresses learning and business objectives and enhances skills and knowledge of SMA and apitegromab.Lead the definition and implementation of the most effective learning mix (i.e., live/virtual instructor-led, e-learning, blended learning, social learning) for the agreed target audience with best practices and principles of instructional design.Accountable and responsible for all curricula components and inventory requiring promotional review and approval by legal/regulatory/complianceLead the creation and standardization of Launch Excellence models from early planning to post-launch sustainmentEnsure learning and development solutions are developed and deployed with an eye on adult learning theory and knowledge retention/recallOversee the development and facilitation of engaging and interactive workshops on disease states, products, marketplaces, and contextual selling skills for all types of audiencesTrain and coach leaders for key conversations that drive team performance, enabling high confidence in the performance of team membersCoach leaders to ensure that employees receive balanced and actionable feedback Partner with executive leaders to provide the strategic guidance aligning people programs to business outcomes and ensuring high employee engagementLead, evaluation and monitor training programs to ensure success and follow up to ensure training objectives are metEnsure the appropriate utilization of resources by overseeing the identification and selection of vendors as well as existing relationships and projects relating to trainingLead end-to-end training efforts that deliver the measurable results aligned with project goalsDesign and implement practices that enable continuous improvement of a high-performance cultureOther duties as assigned Candidate Requirements:Bachelor's degree in business, science or related field. A master's degree (MBA) strongly preferred.10+ years of experience working in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry with 8+ years in sales/commercial training.Experience leading "development" initiatives, i.e., training, coaching, learning initiativesFirm understanding and applicability of adult learning theory frameworkStrong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to drive toward consensusExceptional persuasive written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to present the facts and put forth hypothesis in the face of differing opinionsExcellent presentation skills with the ability to establish logical flow and story and skilled in choosing best graphic representation for points to be made.  Experienced presenting to senior managementAbility to adjust to changing needs within the organization and flexibility to change priorities as neededAbility to self direct projects and work with little supervision. Demonstrated values-based skills and strong work ethicPharmaceutical launch experience with an emphasis of building infrastructure and processes that do not currently exist
