We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Financial Operations to join our executive team and lead our financial operations.
Position Summary: The Sr. Director of Financial Operations will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our company. This executive-level position requires a strategic leader with a proven track record of success in financial management, specifically within the healthcare sector. The Director of Financial Operations will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, providing strategic guidance, and leading the accounting/finance department.
Strategic Financial Leadership:
Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's goals and objectives.
Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
Advise the CEO and other key members of senior management on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters.
Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors and manage preparation and support of all external audits.
Evaluate and manage risks related to the company's financial operations.
Drive financial transformation initiatives to enhance organizational performance and efficiency.
Financial Operations:
Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance.
Manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and oversee the preparation of all financial reporting.
Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions.
Ensure effective internal controls are in place and compliance with applicable laws and regulations for financial and tax reporting.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and motivate the accounting/finance team to achieve high performance and professional growth.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability within the finance department.
Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach: assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, and monitor and evaluate results.
Qualifications/Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Director of Financial Operations or CFO, preferably within the healthcare industry.
Extensive experience with NetSuite (minimum of 3 years).
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing finance team.
Demonstrated experience in financial management and accounting principles.
Strong analytical, strategic planning, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
Education:
MBA or equivalent required; CPA preferred.
