The National WWII Museum is currently seeking a Senior Director of Leader Education. The Senior Director of Leader Education will create, develop, and execute a world-class leader education and development program, which will serve as the foundation for the Sanderson Leadership Center's daily operations. This position will involve substantial opportunity for both vision and execution as the Center begins its design process, conducts initial proof of concept, and transitions into full operational status. The ideal candidate is an accomplished, high-energy leader who has experience educating, collaborating with, and training and educating managers and leaders at all levels, and who has a proven history of building and implementing a progressive leadership development strategy. The Senior Director of Leader Education will report to the Executive Director of the Sanderson Leadership Center and will serve as the Executive Director's deputy, and as the primary adviser on the delivery of leader development content and educational programs at the Center.

Requirements:

Advise the Sanderson Leadership Center's Executive Director in all matters related to the design and implementation of the Center's leader education programs.

Serve as the Sanderson Leadership Center's deputy director.

Design, develop, and implement the Sanderson Leadership Center's leader education program.

Assist in the development of the Center's short- and long-term strategy.

Design leader education content and curriculum tailored to a variety of diverse audiences to achieve Museum goals for the Center and promote its mission.

Consult with Center patrons from the business, academic, government, and military sectors to understand their leadership and management development needs.

Deliver best-in-class leader education programs and experiences for Sanderson Leadership Center patrons.

Participate in the development of supporting technology (simulations, audio-visual technology, scenarios) to enable the Center's leader education programs.

Leverage multiple delivery methods to tailor the Center's programs to the needs of its various participants.

Track and drive measures of success/impact and evaluate Leadership Center programs and participant experience for future refinement.

Qualifications:

5-10 years of experience working in Leadership Development and/or a related discipline.

Master's degree or higher in Military History, Organizational Behavior, Communications, Psychology, or equivalent combination of experience and education.

An experienced practitioner in the leadership development field with a natural curiosity for innovatively leveraging leading edge practices across multiple fields and industries, as well as the government and the military.

Demonstrated performance in leadership development strategy, design, and implementation.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; executive coaching experience desirable.

An understanding of the American role in World War II and the varied dimensions of American leadership throughout the war effort, both at home and abroad.
