MongoDB is looking for a senior product leader to guide and oversee the core database.
This includes Enterprise Advanced, MongoDB Community, Ops Manager, Cloud Manager, Backup, and the MongoDB Query Language.
This leader will align our product roadmap across various engineering organizations within R&D as well as our go-to-market activities with the field and marketing organizations.
We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in New York City, Palo Alto, and Seattle for our hybrid working model.
ResponsibilitiesLead Database product management for the companyThis highly visible position requires cross-functional leadership driving collaboration across the company across Engineering, Customer Support, Marketing, Sales, and the Executive Leadership TeamBe able to develop a vision and roadmap leading to near-term and long-term wins for getting applications onto MongoDBMaintain an accurate and up-to-date roadmap across ownership area in partnership with Engineering counterpartsDeeply understand all aspects of the business - to ensure alignment with our broader product, customer, and company prioritiesPlay an influential role in driving decisions for technical, business, and organizational issues around migrationsRequirements20+ years of product and/or engineering experience working with enterprise-focused technologies (database is a plus)Familiarity with all components of the application stack and enterprise application development processStrong technical skills - Our product managers must be just as technical as engineers and have knowledge in these areas to better advocate for our users; while not expected to write production code, must be comfortable speaking authoritatively on any of the technical aspects of the toolsSkills to effectively establish, communicate, and advocate product strategy & vision to all relevant stakeholders; ability to translate technology features into business benefitsStrong leadership skills with an ability to bring together diverse viewpoints with optimism, humility, and willingness to embrace adversityExcellent written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to present to large audiences, executives, and key customersSelf-starter who enjoys strategic challenges across a broad range of disciplinesExperience with developer-focused cloud growth models is a plusTo drive the personal growth and business impact of our employees, we're committed to developing a supportive and enriching culture for everyone.
