POSITION SUMMARY The Senior Director, Program Leadership is responsible for the design and successful execution of the R&D strategies for development stage product(s). The position plays a critical role in driving the successful planning, execution, and delivery of our development programs. In this leadership position, you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals, timelines, and budget constraints. As a key member of the leadership team, you will contribute to shaping the company's overall strategy and direction.

JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement program strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives. Lead the creation and maintenance of detailed R&D program plans, ensuring clarity on objectives, milestones, and deliverables. Build and lead high-performing cross-functional program teams, fostering collaboration and communication across departments such as R&D, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, and Commercial. Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring a unified approach to program execution. Identify potential risks and challenges associated with program execution and implement proactive mitigation strategies. Regularly assess and communicate risk factors to the executive team. Provide regular updates on program progress, milestones, and any deviations from the plan. Work closely with finance and project management teams to develop and manage program budgets. Optimize resource allocation to ensure efficient and effective program execution. Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including executive management, regulatory agencies, and partners. Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs to ensure that programs comply with relevant regulatory requirements and standards. Support regulatory submissions and interactions as needed. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the program leadership and management function. Identify and implement best practices to enhance program delivery efficiency. Work closely with the executive team to contribute to the overall strategic planning and decision-making process. Provide insights and recommendations based on program progress and industry trends. QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree or higher in scientific/healthcare/business field. Advanced degree preferred. Experience (10+ years) in research and development and in project management within the pharmaceutical industry (Biotech/small pharma experience preferred). Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering R&D stage, complex pharmaceutical programs. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong understanding of drug development processes, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Strategic thinker with the ability to contribute to the overall business strategy. Strong ability to communicate effectively with team members, creating an environment that fosters successful teamwork, collaboration, and cooperation. Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving program goals within specified timelines and budgets. Demonstrated ability to prepare timelines and budgets and present related information to management. Proven ability to identify risks, propose mitigation strategies, and remove barriers to success. Strong knowledge of project management software packages and the Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook; ability to create effective presentations for internal and external use. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands, across time zones, while maintaining a positive attitude. Ability to work independently, take initiative, complete tasks to deadlines, and support product team in doing the same. Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Displays a high level of professionalism with internal and external stakeholders.
