As a leader in Lam's Global Supplier Management organization, this critical position requires a passionate, driven leader who will architect and deliver strategic directions in managing the Mechatronics commodities within Lam's supply chain. As a Sr Director within Supply Chain, this executive will play a crucial and influential role in the success of Lam. This person will collaborate with the Executive management team, Supply Chain Executives and Product Group Executives.
Location of the position is in Tualatin, OR or Livermore, CA and will include worldwide travel.
What You'll DoArchitecting and delivering a complete end to end strategy that supports Lam's 3-year horizon:Supplier selection (Expansion & consolidation) that meet business needsDeliver & focus supplier investments (R&D & capacity expansions) that are aligned with Lam's needsResponsible for commercial negotiation that result in achieving annual objectives for cost, quality, lead time & flexibility.Develop a 3-year vision, strategy and organizational structure for assigned commodities. The strategy should enhance competitive differentiation and address commodity availability, quality and cost.Leadership responsibilities include:Lead sourcing negotiations.Drive business processes that enable effective prioritizationProvide inspired leadership and direction to the global supply chain organization.Lead a geographically dispersed team of approximately 10 employees, including some matrix employees.Operate in a Complex EnvironmentBuild and maintain a strong employee organization through strategic hiring, development, and performance management.Manage supplier relationships to deliver negotiated valueMake decisions under pressure, sometimes with incomplete information and under tight deadlines and pressureBe able to navigate Lam and supplier constraints such as source locking and moving suppliers.Develop and present meaningful and impactful messages to a wide array of audiences: C-level, Peer VPs, Global Supply Chain, Suppliers and CustomersWho We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Business Operations or Engineering EquivalentFifteen (15) years of professional experience, preferably with a minimum of 5 years in executive management roles.Has worked in an executive leadership role within a global matrix managed multi-site company with manufacturing and supplier operations spread over multiple continents with at least $1 billion in revenue.Has extensive experience interfacing with customers and suppliers and managing these relationships on product issue identification, problem resolution and total experience.Demonstrated business orientation and proactive leadership that identifies and anticipates problems, issues, and risks to a project outcomes and manages those issue in advance of a critical situation.Demonstrated success at using rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.Has led and developed high performing teams and demonstrated ability to maintain and engage staff.Interpersonal and leadership skills across multiple cultures in North America, Europe and AsiaBe able to lead & influence technically strong employeesExecutive presentation skills for internal and external executive presentationsOperational background requiredExperience in Semiconductor or High-Tech Industry preferredOur CommitmentWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential. Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time. CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: Min $168,000 - Max $368,000.
The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
