Planned Parenthood of Northern New England (PPNNE)?is seeking candidates for a full time, 37.5 hours/ week, exempt, Senior Education Content Manager position based in Colchester, VT. The Senior Education Content Manager is responsible for the design and implementation of sexual and reproductive health education programs for a broad range of state entities, health and human service professionals and other community stakeholders. This position provides onboarding, mentoring, and other program management support for staff who engage in the community. It is important that the Senior Manager demonstrates an ability to relate well to people and to work effectively as a team member.
\n Characteristic Responsibilities:Conduct community needs assessments across the service region to design and implement sexual and reproductive health education program needs for a broad range of communities and populations. Lead the design, implementation, and oversight of a sexual and reproductive health education program for a broad range of populations and communities under the guidance of the Director of Outreach and Education and the VPs of Public Affairs. Examples of these communities may include but not be limited to youth and youth serving professionals, parents, PPNNE service users, people affected by inequality and oppression, poverty and homelessness, trauma and mental health challenges, incarceration, and substance use disorders. Contribute to cross-department strategy, development, and decision-making with other senior leaders across the organization, including advising on issues related to outreach and education program budget and human resources. Design and manage cross-departmental outreach and education programs and initiatives that result in more equitable provision of and access to PPNNE care and services. Partner with Director of Outreach and Education to determine and implement internal Public Affairs team training needs for ongoing and onboarding needs. Develop train the trainer modules and train all Public Affairs staff in their delivery. Partner and consult on cross-departmental initiatives that improve organizational diversity, equity, and inclusion thereby improving PPNNE systems of care and accessibility of programs and services. This may include partnering with PPNNE's DEI team, leadership, and DEI consultants to create and implement DEI improvement plans and offer education and resources for PPNNE staff.Generate and use data to design programs and measure impact. Examples include interpreting health data from CDC and Departments of Health and conducting qualitative interviews or focus group discussions in local communities.Provide training on and guidance and support to PPNNE Community Engagement Coordinator(s) related to education content and materials. Identify and build strategic partnerships across serviced areas with state entities, community organizations and schools based on identified outreach and educational goals.Participate in the ongoing development and training of curriculum to meet program requirements. Train a variety of audiences, including, but not limited to youth and youth serving adults and caregivers, school, agency and organizational staff, and other entities serving communities.Maintain and provide accurate referral information to a range of state and community resources. Meet program deliverables, and monitor, compile, evaluate and report data as required by PPFA, state agencies, various grants and others. Represent PPNNE at community conferences, coalition meetings, and other events.Participate in public speaking events. With approval of Vice President of Public Affairs in the hosting state and communications training, serve as spokesperson for the organization for education content specific opportunities.Develop, market, and produce contraception kits for sale. Qualifications:Minimum of bachelor's degree and health education, social work-related field equivalent experience, Master's Degree preferred Minimum of five years successful history of working with young adults and other communities and three years of program management experience, professional background, collaborating with schools and organizations that are concerned with the needs and problems of a wide range of underserved and underrepresented populations. Professional background, providing evidence-based sexual health education. Demonstrated excellence with both groups and individuals in educational encounters. Willingness and enthusiasm to promote comprehensive sexuality education. Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to pay attention to detail. Strong ability to organize, prioritize, and work under deadlines. Strong sense of initiative and self-motivation. Ability to work without close supervision and willingness to work with others to achieve goals. Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as strong public speaking skills. Strong commitment to the overall goals and philosophies of Planned Parenthood. Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% of the time. Willingness to participate as a team member and work flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends. Compensation & Benefits : Compensation for this position is based on years of direct work experience. Candidates with 0-6 years of experience can expect to earn between $55,789.50 - $62,829/yr. As experience increases, so does the rate of pay, with candidates who have 19 or more years of direct experience earning up to $81,295.50/yr.Access to benefits is available including health, dental and vision coverage, paid time off and a retirement fund.
