Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to support and grow our electrical engineering design and automation practice as part of our team in Kennesaw, GA.
The position offers the option of either working full-time in office, a hybrid work from home option or a fully remote opportunity at the company's discretion.
You will apply your electrical engineering skills and provide services to our expanding process engineering and water and wastewater treatment practices for various industrial and municipal sector clients throughout the country.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaboration and mentoring are cornerstones of Geosyntecs culture.
We operate under a sell-manage-do culture, and so we expect that youd work on challenging technical projects while leveraging your existing knowledge and experience to help Geosyntec expand its current practices and capabilities through business development and client management.
You may also be asked to take on project management responsibilities, along with staff management and development, and mentoring tasks.
Some of the key responsibilities may include:
Apply experience, technical knowledge, and problem-solving skills for the development and review of technical approaches, detailed electrical design, and system automation and controls; Responsible for scoping, scheduling, and budgeting requirements in the design of process engineering projects including estimating labor, material, or construction costs for budget preparation purposes; Prepare technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, or topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and client requirements; Perform specific technical work functions as required by project requirements including, but not limited to, site visits, conceptual and detailed designs, and technical analysis and review; Review and prepare technical documents, drawings, specifications, and proposals; Prepare for and participate in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties; Work plan development, data evaluation, and report writing; Review and manage written document production; Manage and mentor junior project staff and technicians; Operate and/or manage computer-assisted engineering or design software or equipment to perform electrical engineering tasks; Recruit and manage mid-level and entry-level staff; Work on multi-disciplinary project teams; Task and project-level responsibility for scoping, performing, managing and delivering multiple concurrent project assignments; and Consistent with our sell-manage-do business model, play a role supporting lead generation, business development, staff development, and mentoring.
Training: This position requires OSHA health and safety and medical monitoring, all paid for by Geosyntec.

Fieldwork: Up to 30% Overnight travel: Up to 30% Education and Licensure: Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited college or university in electrical engineering.
(required) Advanced degree in electrical or environmental engineering.
(preferred) Professional registration (i.e., P.E) (required) Skills, Experience and Qualifications: At least 8 years (10-15+ years preferred) of experience in electrical engineering field with a focus on the design phase for process engineering projects, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
(required) Strong background with industrial equipment integration, electrical motors and drives, power distribution, building service and wiring, and process controls/automation.
(required) Experience with process instrumentation and controls systems including PLC/SCADA programming, drafting I/O lists and I/O schematics, P&IDs control panel design, and control system narratives.
(preferred) Experience in the development and approval of single line diagrams and network diagrams.
(preferred) Experience with modeling and design tools such as AutoCAD and MicroStation.
(preferred) Experience with Arc Flash analysis.
(preferred) Demonstrated working knowledge with applicable codes (i.e.
NEC, NFPA) and Federal and State regulations.
(preferred) Experience coordinating with multi-disciplinary project teams.
(required) Excellent leadership and detail-orientation skills.
(required) Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed.
(required) Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers.
(preferred) Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.
Valid U.S. drivers license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.
