Senior Email Marketing Developer

This role will primarily focus on building and deploying custom emails that look great on every device in support of promotional campaigns, drip campaigns, event emails, and more.
It is an extremely technical and role within a critical marketing channel for our client.

This role is responsible for the email customer experience for the millions of uin our client's Loyalty program, our most valuable customers.
The email program requires advanced segmenting to meet the legal requirements in every state.
This position pays $32.00/hour.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage projects with many moving parts and across teams (design, merchandising, email, data analytics)
Convert email designs into custom & personalized HTML emails that render and function correctly across multiple email clients
Maintain and adhere to production schedules to ensure campaigns are produced and delivered on time
Translate email send criteria into SQL queries to segment send lists and personalize email content
Conduct A/B tests + interpret results
Provide reporting using excel and SQL
Follow email best practices related to design, messaging, segmenting, and building

Required Skills & Experience

3-5 years marketing experience
Advanced-level experience in HTML, CSS, and Ampscript (or other dynamic scripting languages) for coding highly dynamic and personalized marketing content.
High-Level proficiency with relational database architecture and SQL for list segmenting, aggregating customer-level insights.
Advanced-level knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or other enterprise level Marketing SAAS Platform)
Understanding of email marketing best practices including targeting and A/B testing; knowledge of deliverability/inboxing, sender score/reputation, CAN-SPAM regulations a plus
Experience with quality assurance processes + extreme attention to detail
Ability to problem-solve and improve processes
Track record of executing high-volume email campaigns in a fast-paced environment with a high-degree of accuracy
Superior ability to hit hard deadlines

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience in a B2C retail setting, wine/spirits/beer industry a plus
