We are seeking an experienced Environmental Professional to join the Kleinfelder EP&P Team in the Southern New England Area.
The successful candidate should be a self-starter who can perform wetland and other natural resources surveys, environmental permitting, and natural resources planning activities for a variety of projects including Transportation, Energy, Water/Wastewater and Stormwater Infrastructure Construction.
The position requires strong collaboration skills, project management, and client engagement in support of our Clients in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
Some limited travel within this region will be required for this position.
Kleinfelder offers a hybrid in office/remote work environment.
Assigned offices could be in Boston or Worcester, MA or Rocky Hill, CT.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate:
Independent thinker and a self-starter, able to work independently when needed Effective communication skills Excellent teamwork and leadership skills Ability to effectively engage directly with staff, leadership, and clients Robust regulatory and agency expertise primarily in Massachusetts and municipalities, secondary knowledge of Connecticut.
Experience presenting to and obtaining Conservation Commission approvals Strong experience working with state and federal regulations, including all steps of design, submittal, and regulatory interface associated with permits under: Section 401/404 of the Clean Water Act (CWA) State/local wetlands, waterways, and floodplain regulations National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits a plus National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) a plus Strong technical writing and QA/QC skills Ability to effectively deliver and review proposals and reports Experience with state and federal T&E consultations Connecticut Qualified Soil Scientist a plus SWS Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) certification a plus All candidates require: BS in Environmental, Biological, Ecological Science, Environmental Policy or related field; Masters in a relevant subject area is a plus; 8-10 plus years of relevant environmental consulting and/or agency employment experience in the region; Prior experience working and coordinating with regulatory agencies.
