The Senior Financial Analyst will be focused on supporting the FP&A group in the analysis of financial results, budgeting/ forecasting as well as long-term planning and financial modeling.
This individual will utilize strong business acumen and a dynamic personality as this position will interact with management and business teams on multiple projects to drive performance and support company initiatives.
The Senior Financial Analyst will utilize a thorough knowledge of business and financial concepts as well as financial statements to support the mission of the Accounting and Finance Departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assists with the monthly close process including variance analysis, and the creation and distribution of monthly reporting package.
Completes monthly analysis of financial statements and company performance.
Performs ad-hoc analysis to support strategy initiatives and special projects in a fast-paced environment.
Provides metrics and KPI's that improve the key drivers of operations and enable effective management, decision-making and execution.
Compiles and analyzes financial information using a variety of reporting tools.
Performs analysis, financial planning and provides recommendations to senior management to achieve strategic goals.
Analyzes reports and accounts to ensure financial information has been accurately recorded.
Identifies trends and developments in business performance and reports them to management.
Supports Business Unit leaders in establishing performance related metrics.
Establishing and fostering collaborative relationships across all levels to provide a high level of service in a fast-paced environment is required.
Strong time management and sense of urgency to address issues promptly is necessary in this role along with the ability to be flexible and agile.
Highly organized and detail oriented.
Education/Experience: BA/BS degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or related field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 5 years of finance experience with progressive growth, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in financial analysis and business modeling.
Strong data analytical skills, high attention to details, with a focus on accuracy Computer Skills: Advanced computer skills required in Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, with advanced skill and expertise in Excel.
Experience with data analysis in financial planning software and ERP systems are a plus.
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Power BI).
