Find your place in finance on #TeamAmex. This position is part of the AENB Controllership team and plays a key role in the monthly intercompany accounting processes and management of the Regulation W 23A program.Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Monthly general ledger close activities including completing journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysisEnd-to-end management and oversight of AENB issuer revenue accountingServe as a subject matter expert on intercompany transactions and for activities concerning Reg W Section 23A of the Federal Reserve ActResponsible for critical deliverables demonstrating bank adherence to Reg W Section 23A, including assessing risk and impacts from new initiatives, products, and transactionsPerform and certify monthly, quarterly, and annually required PRSA control testingSupport audit requests from Regulators, Internal Audit, and Independent Compliance Testing on matters pertaining to Reg W 23A & intercompany accountingProvide accounting support on special projects related to key business and financial initiativesBuild relationships and partner with other subject matter experts to manage key intercompany accounting activityProactively evaluate and seek opportunities for improvement through ongoing review of processes/methods of data collection and report preparation to create efficiencies and eliminate non-value-added workRequired Qualifications: 2 plus years' experience in Accounting / Auditing / Financial ReportingReliable, self-motivated individual with strong organizational capabilities and excellent attention to detailA proactive team player with a passion to consistently deliver high quality service and exceed customers' expectationsAbility to understand a business and unique internal processes and operationsA quick learner with superior problem-solving skills and a focus on generating efficiencies and continuous process improvementsAbility to manage multiple priorities, drive projects, improve processes, and work well under time-pressured deadlinesCapable of communicating and expressing ideas clearly and concisely, in both written and verbal formatsProficient in Microsoft Excel and experience in data analysis and reportingSolid understanding of US GAAPEducation Requirement:Undergraduate degree in Finance or AccountingPreferred Additional:Graduate degree and/or CPA a plus Experience working in financial services or other highly regulated environment preferredExperience in intercompany accounting and working knowledge of Regulation Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
