About The Role: Mochi Health is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst (CPA) to join our growing finance team.
In this critical role, you will ensure the accuracy of our financial reporting, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and provide actionable financial insights that drive strategic decision-making.
Your expertise in tax regulations, budget management, and audit processes will directly support the financial health and success of our organization.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of accounting principles, exceptional analytical abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, translating complex financial information into clear and actionable insights to support Mochi Health's mission.
What You'll Do: Financial modeling (including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flows)Prepare and present monthly financial statements to the executive teamReview and audit invoicesManage tax planning and preparation of tax returns, optimizing strategies at both the state and federal levelMonitor budgets and track financial performance, ensuring resources are aligned with company goalsAccurately record and maintain financial transactionsProperly account for R&D tax creditsProject impact of changes to the pricing model on cashflows and incomeWho You Are: Active CPA license and a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably at a big 4 accounting firm1+ years of experience at a startupExperience with R&D tax credit accountingStrong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and relevant financial regulationsProficiency in accounting software (we use QuickBooks) and advanced skills in Google Sheet or Microsoft ExcelStrong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining ethical financial practicesExceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial data clearly to stakeholdersThis is a full time, five days in office position.
Remote or hybrid work will not be considered.
