Join us to develop and build a new healthcare data and analytics platform to support value-based care contract design and measurement. You will be a founding engineer, and part of a small, collaborative group working across product, design, actuarial science, and engineering. This is a greenfield opportunity to build a new product from scratch to serve a multi-billion-dollar market, and deliver quality, equitable, and high-impact care to more Americans as a result!
We anticipate our founding engineers will use their expertise to shape our product, and consequently grow substantially in their careers and take leadership roles as we scale.

What You'll Do:Leverage your strong backend development skills in Python, Databricks, and AWS, while working on ingestion and analysis of a high volume of complex medical claims data.Collaborate with an actuarial science team who primarily works in SAS, R, and Excel.Contribute to design, implementation, and overall development of your products.Drive innovation and deliver valuable features for our customers.What You'll Bring:Able to work entrepreneurially – self-motivated, ambitious, and fast-paced.Experienced in full-stack development projects, and demonstrated ability to both build an MVP and scale and mature a product.Able to ship extremely high caliber code and build exceptional products.High level of attention to detail.Ability to perform under minimal supervision with accountability for specific objectives, and work in a rapidly changing, ambiguous start-up environment.Passionate about improving and innovating.Startup experience highly preferred.Our team works hybrid from the San Francisco Bay Area. We will prioritize candidates able to work 1x per week from our office. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as the candidate's geographic location, the role's scope and complexity, and the candidate's experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided here. For candidates based in San Francisco, the estimated range for cash compensation for this role is $185,000 - 200,000. Total compensation also includes equity and generous benefits.
