As a Senior Gameplay Designer, you will be focused on creating and balancing a diverse roster of heroes, with well defined identities, themes, and gameplay. You will leverage your design expertise and deep knowledge of character design to create satisfying PvEvP gameplay, unique roles, and play styles that encourage self expression and mastery across solo and cooperative experiences.
In the United States, the standard base pay range for this role is $117,000 $184,000 annually. This base pay range is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S., and those interviewing from outside of the U.S. can inquire accordingly. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience and performance. In addition to competitive base pay, employees in this role are eligible for equity, healthcare benefits, flexible paid time off, paid family leave, company-wide holidays, and relocation assistance where applicable.

Responsibilities:Responsible for design and implementation of heroes and gameplay mechanics.Drive initial exploration, prototyping, and implementation of heroes.Own hero ability kit development from paper design to final implementation, including implementation and tuning of combat behaviors and abilities.Design, iterate, and improve on gameplay and balance for the hero roster.Communicate regularly with designers, artists, and engineers to direct and support the hero content pipeline.Leverage constructive feedback and player data to iterate upon combat and gameplay design.Required Qualifications:Examples of shipped real-time multiplayer character content for which you were the primary designer or leadExperience scripting to build combat mechanics and abilitiesDeep development genre expertise in at least one of the following: MOBAs (ex League of Legends, Smite, Dota 2), session PvP hero-based games (ex Overwatch, Valorant, Apex Legends)Play experience with extraction genre games (ex Dark and Darker, Escape from Tarkov, Hunt Showdown, Marauders)Experience using Unreal blueprints to develop characters and abilities.5+ years of industry experience in a Game Design roleDesired Qualifications:Experience leading a team of designers and developing product standards for character and combat experiences.Development experience with extraction and/or battle royale genre games
