Job Title: Senior GCP Data Engineer
Location: San Francisco, CA| Austin, TX | Scottsdale, AZ (100% Remote)
Duration: 06 to 12 Months Contract Responsibilities: Build scalable systems, lead technical discussions, deliver good quality results, participate in code reviews and guide the team in engineering best practices Provide technical leadership and contribute to the definition, development, integration, test, documentation and support across multiple platforms (GCP, Python, Machine Learning) Establish a consistent project management framework and develop processes to deliver high quality software, in rapid iterations, for business partners in multiple geographies Participate in a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools etc.
Experienced in balancing production platform stability, feature delivery and reduction of technical debt across a broad landscape of technologies You have consistently high standards, your passion for quality is inherent in everything Knowledge of Statistical and machine learning models and Experience with GCP, Python, Hadoop, Spark, Cloud, Scala, Streaming (pub/sub), Kafka, SQL, data proc, data flow Data warehouses, distributed data platforms and data lakes Database definition, schema design, Looker Views, Models DS and Algorithm CI/CD You evangelize an extremely high standard of code quality, system reliability, and performance You have a proven track record coding with at least one programming language (e.g., Scala, Python) and Excellent structured thinking skills, with the ability to break down multi-dimensional problems Ability to navigate ambiguity and work in a fast-moving environment with multiple stakeholders
