Raytheon is seeking a Senior Ground System Software Engineer to work and contribute on our classified programs. Our teams adapt to evolving customer and warfighter needs. The position works in a SCIF environment with flexible work hours to accommodate work/life balance practices.
We are seeking software engineering professionals to work onsite in our Aurora, CO location.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop software for satellite ground systems.
Experience with the full software lifecycle including design, development, test, delivery, and maintenance.
Work with modern Developer Security Operations development practices and utilize Agile processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's in a STEM field and a minimum of 5 years of prior software engineering experience.
Experience developing software using C++ or Java.
Experience working with LINUX or UNIX operating systems.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of satellite command and control software.
Understanding of Agile development and software engineering best practices.
Background in microservices, Kubernetes, and containerized applications.
Experience delivering application software.
Experience modernizing legacy systems.
Experience working with COTS/FOSS and performing COTS/FOSS upgrades.
