We are seeking an experienced Space Systems Senior Ground Systems Engineer to support Space Systems Command Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (SSC/SZ) portfolio. The position is available in El Segundo, California. Duties include but are not limited to: - Support enterprise integration and modernization of tactical level Command, Control & Communications (C3) capabilities to transform satellite operations and improve resiliency. - Perform space acquisitions, engineering, operations, and technical advice and assistance for all projects and programs related to ground communication systems, as required, to support any stage of the acquisition life cycle. - Provide technical oversight of development efforts (i.e., design, development, manufacturing, assembly, integration, test, production and sustainment) whether they are traditional acquisition methods (e.g., waterfall, spiral, etc.) or agile/prototype. - Support development of operational concepts, requirements, and architectural designs; evolve system architectures, conduct and analyze requirements flow down, propose verification methodologies and mitigation approaches. - Support cyber testing and assessment activities - Provide recommendations regarding cyber activities, including techniques, packets, and mission partner responsibilities Qualifications Required (Skills) -BS/BA with more than 12 years of experience; MS/MA with more than 10 years of experience - Experience in ACAT-like classified space control ground and C2 systems - Experience in developing & documenting ground architectures including but not limited to, DoDAF architecture views and Information Support Plans - Ability to provide Cybersecurity advice on application design and testing, to include: risk management, security architecture, security requirements definition, test planning, methods of test, and test procedures, certification and accreditation. - Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and writing) skills. - Must have experience in using critical thinking to prepare written reports and presentations for decision makers. - MUST HAVE AT A MINIMUM, A CURRENT TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE AND BE ABLE TO OBTAIN A TS/SCI CLEARANCE, FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN. YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION IF YOU DO NOT MEET THIS REQUIREMENT.
