Job Title: Senior HCM System Administrator Location: Chicago, IL (100% Remote) Job Type: Full-Time ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Serve as a member of the Digital & Technology Solutions department partnering with HR and People Technology areas to support the configuration and maintenance of Workday HCM Core, Benefits, Compensation, Learning, People Experience, reporting and analytics.Develop and implement best practices for Workday system use, including workflows, dashboards, and reporting capabilities. Gather feedback from users, analyze workflows, and implement enhancements or customizations to meet evolving business needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into system configurations. Perform complex Workday configuration changes, create test scripts, and test.Research, design, test and implement configuration changes resulting in process improvements. Serve as a lead subject matter expert for Workday HCM products and apply knowledge to maintain effective system utilization and efficiency.Manage Workday semi-annual releases and regular updates for HCM modules.Monitor system performance and proactively address issues, coconsciously seek opportunities to enhance system process and improve user experience.Facilitate change management processes, including the development of release management communication plans, implementation plans, and rollback plans for HCM products.Investigate, triage, and troubleshoot escalated issues and system outages. Perform root cause analysis and exercise appropriate problem resolution and risk mitigation strategies.Develop internal training materials to be used to educate functional and end users on Workday HCM functionality.Strong working knowledge of Workday's security configuration; Maintain Workday security design, configuration, workflow, and security administrationStay apprised of Workday releases and new features, assess impacts and recommend adoption strategies.Work collaboratively with technical and business stakeholders to drive the product roadmap.Provide mentorship and direction to junior members of the technical team. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in relevant technical field (Information Technology, Computer Science, Software, Engineering or related technical discipline) or equivalent combination of training and work experience
7+ years Workday HCM/Payroll experience or training required
Prior HR/Payroll functional system experience strongly preferred
Healthcare industry experience is a plus
