As the Senior HR Communications Specialist, you'll play an integral part in engaging our teammates in key cultural and HR programs. You'll share information about our benefits and other people practices to cultivate understanding and participation. You'll also administer culture-building engagement, recognition, and charitable programs that foster camaraderie, pride, and belonging among our teammates.
Reporting to the Director of HR Communications, you'll use your creative and technical communication skills to imaginatively convey important HR-related information through the written word, images, and events. You'll leverage your fanatical attention to detail to coordinate organization-wide communication and engagement programs and campaigns for a wide variety of internal audiences. You'll also bring innovative ideas to the table for ensuring our content and events feel fresh while still remaining on-brand.
You'll thrive in this position if you're: A versatile communicator: you're capable of articulating a story in a clear, concise and conversational manner and equally skilled at taking technical information and making it easy to understand.A fanatic about details: you are meticulous about even the smallest elements and strive for accuracy and the highest standards of quality in every task.A creative mind: you constantly look at things from a new perspective, think outside the box, and investigate new ideas and techniques.A master planner: you're skilled at juggling multiple priorities at one time and keeping track of deadlines without missing a step.A persuasive writer: you make effective use of superior writing skills to influence and persuade others to take action, never leaving a bad first or last impression.A team player: while you're a capable self-manager, you thrive when you're a part of a team; you enjoy collaborating and brainstorming with others, especially on new projects.Here's more of what you'll get to do: Design, plan, edit, write and distribute human resource specific content for a variety of internal communications mediums, including intranet, newsletters, emails, digital, video and print.Use your journalistic abilities to source and write compelling human-interest stories about our staff members.Apply the latest communication technologies and approaches to raise awareness of our HR, recognition and charitable giving programs, and inspire staff to actively participate.Own planning and content for Support Center communication and employee engagement vehicles, including daily newsletters, weekly Alignments and recognition programs.Participate in planning and executing events that go beyond the ordinary, bringing creativity and fun to experiences while always reinforcing our values and culture.Coordinate review and distribution processes with key stakeholders, including HR leadership and executive leadership.Review and edit communications content prior to distribution for accuracy, clarity, and voice.What we require: 5+ years' experience in internal communication or related field.Bachelor's degree in communication, public relations, marketing, journalism, English or related field or equivalent experience/expertise.Excellent creative and business writing and editing skills.Strong layout and graphic design skills and proficiency with Canva, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, or similar software.Exceptional organizational skills; ability to create project timelines, juggle multiple priorities, and execute on time, every time.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of internal audiences and with staff at all levels.Experience creating and maintaining communications plans, project task lists, status reports, deliverables and relationships with subject matter experts.Experience updating websites/intranet pages using a CMS.Ability to effectively interact with staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of professionalism, adaptability, calmness and ability to maintain confidentiality.Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).What we prefer: Strong proficiency with email marketing platforms such as Poppulo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, MailChimp, Constant Contact.Familiarity with Monday.com, Trello, Airtable, or another project/task management platform.Event planning experience.Restaurant experience.About the Company: Recognized as a Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For since 2014, The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated is a global $3.4 billion public company with 47,500 staff members across more than 300 casual dining restaurants, including The Cheesecake Factory, North Italia, Grand Lux Cafe and Fox Restaurant Concepts.
