Our HR Team provides support to 140 locations and nearly 300 (and growing!)
employees in WA, OR, CA, NV, and ID.
Experience and/or exposure to CA employment laws is a HUGE plus, but not required.

Paid Sick and Vacation 401(k)/Roth with matching funds Annual Profit Sharing Employee Discount on storage and retail WHAT YOU'LL DO: Partner with HR Director to ensure our strategic HR Business Plan aligns with company goals and initiatives. Administer Human Resources programs including, but not limited to, compensation/wage audits, benefits, and Leave Administration; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance management. Champion our company-wide safety programs in a manner that maintains maximum employee safety consistent with federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines.
Lead quarterly virtual safety meetings. Manage all Workers Comp and Unemployment Claims efficiently and effectively Identify areas for departmental process improvements to build efficiencies that better support the Operations Team Administer benefit orientation, new hire enrollments, changes and separations for healthcare benefits, Life Insurance and 401(k) Drive benefits renewal process and annual Open Enrollment for medical, dental, vision, and FSA Update and maintain Employee Handbook and all State Supplemental Handbooks as required to ensure compliance Lead all recruiting efforts for Leadership roles and specialty positions within WCSS and provide frontline assistance to our Recruiters when necessary.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING: The ability and willingness to navigate ambiguous/complex/sensitive situations with professionalism and respect 3+ years of high-level Generalist experience Minimum intermediate knowledge of HR laws, regulations, principles, and practices Experience using HRIS and Talent Management systems Willingness to support Operations outside of your office hours, should the need arise Strong written and verbal communication skill Active PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR or SHRM-SCP Certification preferred
