What We're Looking For: Iridium is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Parnter (HRBP) to join our Human Resources team. As a Senior HRBP, you'll have the opportunity to dig into all aspects of Human Resources function as well as take on challenging projects. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, resourceful critical thinker who enjoys a positive team environment where the emphasis is on serving our valued employees and continuous improvement of our processes and procedures. In this position you will be empowered to contribute to the success of our mission by developing strong relationships across all levels of the organization and acting as a trusted and valued business partner that ensures the integration of HR activities into the organization.
What You'll Do: Provide ongoing HR guidance to management (interviewing, hiring, promotions, coaching, performance management, safety, etc.) Collaborate with managers and employees to ensure appropriate resolution of complex employee issues Lead career development initiatives which includes coaching leaders, participating in employee career counseling and feedback sessions, and equipping managers with tools for feedback sessions and planning Play a key role in workforce planning, talent acquisition and HR initiatives to ensure that the short, medium and long-term needs of the business are met Drive improvements and lead efforts to streamline department processes and procedures, gaining efficiencies through automation, and implementing improvement initiatives Lead various projects, events, and initiatives, as needed What You'll Need to Succeed: Bachelor's degree in a related field 8+ years of relevant experience in human resources or a related field with a knowledge of multiple HR disciplines including coaching and counseling, performance management, change management, engagement, retention, and project management Proven employee relations skills (ability to anticipate, identify and facilitate resolution of employee issues - corrective actions, disciplinary discussions, etc.) Excellent communication skills, with the ability to create clear and concise employee communications to groups outside of your team or those who are unfamiliar with the topic Customer service mindset Have confidence and be able to easily build relationships with leadership and colleagues outside of your team Possess an analytical mindset, with the ability to understand a situation or problem and think critically to make decisions and come up with out-of-the-box solutions Be proactive in providing feedback and be enthusiastic in sharing your knowledge with others Capable of prioritizing your own tasks and potentially the tasks of others while making sure deadlines are met Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exceptional attention to detail Ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches to affect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity, and development of HR practices within the company Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table : PHR or SPHR certification preferred Previous experience for a government contractor a plus ADP WorkforceNow experience preferred iCIMS experience preferred We'll also need you to: Be able to travel up to 10% Work Environment: This position primarily works in the company office or in a home office. The position is largely sedentary with the majority of the position sitting in a chair and working with a computer. The role uses basic office equipment including a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.
