Summary:
This is a hybrid role, with the option to work from home two days per week.
Candidates for this role will need to be located around our Rogers (CT), Woodstock (CT), and Narragansett (RI) locations - as travel between the three sites will be required on occasion.
This role is responsible for performing Human Resource related duties on a professional level working closely with Human Resource management in supporting Human Resource functions.
This role carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, benefits administration, affirmative action and employment law compliance.
Essential Functions: Executes day-to-day human resources responsibilities, applying knowledge of policies and procedures in the following areas: Employee Relations, Compensation, Workplace Safety, Benefits, Reward Programs, Training and Recruiting. Assists with the hiring process which includes writing job descriptions, recruitment, selection, onboarding, benefits sign-up and orientation.
Administers human resource policies and procedures.Assists with the development, implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures as required. Assists in planning, development and implementation of training that supports company initiatives.
Delivers new hire training (i.e.
harassment, ethics) as needed. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree 4+ years Human Resources experience (in a manufacturing environment preferred) Experience working in a union environment strongly preferred Experience in all Human Resource areas (i.e.
employment laws, compensation, benefits, workers compensation, training, employee relations, etc.
) Human Resources Information Systems experience
