OVERVIEW The Senior Manager, Human Resources is responsible for overseeing the Human Resources function for TransPerfect's many family of companies that provide language services and technology solutions for global businesses. This position will oversee offices in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. The Senior Manager, Human Resources leads a team of HR professionals, who support employees, managers, and senior management. The day-to-day work of this role will support all stages of the employee lifecycle including answering general questions, facilitating training, and partnering with management to resolve employee relations issues. The Senior Manager, Human Resources plays a key role in shaping and driving HR initiatives that align with the company's strategic goals. This position is responsible for ensuring the effective and consistent delivery of human resources services including coaching/counseling employees and managers, performance management, employment-based immigration, and providing human resources leadership. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with state, federal labor legislation requirements, and labor reporting. The Senior Manager, Human Resources is responsible for ensuring that employment laws and related policies and processes for all locations are secured and followed. The Senior Manager, Human Resources will work closely with the rest of the HR team to ensure the delivery of projects, policies, and specific process improvements. DESCRIPTION Partner with management to understand and resolve employee relations issues including providing guidance on company policies and procedures, advising on disciplinary action, writing performance improvement plans, and addressing general concerns. Conduct employment-related investigations and work with legal counsel as necessary. Support processes through the employee lifecycle including performance management, organizational change, and conduct issues. Assist in developing KPIs, conducting performance reviews, and managing employee recognition programs. Review employee handbooks for legal compliance, maintain, and make updates as required. Ensure compliance with labor laws, employment standards, and company policies. Ensures all employment practices comply with federal, state and local regulations. Develop and deliver trainings for managers on various topics. Review HR processes and suggest changes to improve efficiency and scalability. Perform other special projects or duties when required. REQUIRED SKILLS Exceptional interpersonal skills, relationship-building and an ability to connect with employees and management Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite Must be proactive, have a good attitude, be self-disciplined, and self-motivated Must be organized, reliable, results driven with the proven ability to solve problems on the spot, partnered with an ability to see the "big picture" and make improvements Strong knowledge of employment law and best HR practices. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources or related business field. Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP) is a plus 7 to 10 years experience in HR, with at least 4 years managing a team Experience in performance management, employee relations, and the ability to apply this information in a manner compliant with relevant employment law Multi-state employment law experience required Prior experience with employment-based immigration is required New York City Salary Transparency Compensation range:$140k-$150k Benefits: Health insurance, retirement benefits, paid time off, other voluntary benefits
