Senior International Tax Specialist - Japanese Fluency Required We are a premier regional CPA firm with a robust international tax services division specializing in Japanese clients. As an International Tax Senior, you will handle complex tax issues and engage actively with high-profile clientele, delivering tailored solutions and building enduring relationships. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare Federal and multi-state tax returns for C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, high net-worth individuals, bankruptcy entities, and trusts and estates.Tackle intricate accounting and tax challenges and provide practical solutions.Conduct both basic and intricate tax research to support client needs.Develop and nurture ongoing client relationships to ensure continuous collaboration and satisfaction.Identify opportunities for tax planning and consulting, offering proactive solutions to clients.Collaborate effectively with team members and partners to deliver superior tax services.Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and their implications for clients.Minimum Position Qualifications: Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or Business Administration.Minimum of 2 years of tax experience, ideally with a public accounting firm.Active CPA license or in the process of obtaining one.Demonstrated ability to handle complex accounting and tax issues.Must be authorized to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship.Strong detail orientation with superior analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent organizational abilities with a capacity to manage multiple priorities.Self-directed with an entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic.Preferred Qualifications: Experience dealing with international tax matters, particularly for Japanese clients.Advanced degree or specialized certification in tax or accounting related fields.Experience working remotely and managing tasks efficiently without direct supervision.Proven track record of developing business and expanding a client base.Understanding of and experience with tax software and common financial platforms.Skills: Fluency in Japanese and English, both written and verbal.High proficiency in using tax preparation and research software.Exceptional communication skills that promote clarity and understanding in complex scenarios.Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop junior staff.Advanced analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to identify data discrepancies.Benefits: Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunity to work remotely, providing flexibility and work-life balance.Professional development opportunities and continuous learning.Supportive and collaborative work environment with accessible leadership.Performance-based bonuses reflecting valuable contributions to clients and the firm.
