JOB FUNCTION:
The Senior Investment Advisor is responsible for leading business development, providing advice and servicing clients in the Hill Country market.
The position will work closely with the San Antonio and Austin teams to provide investment solutions for prospects and clients.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create and execute successful marketing plan for the Hill Country to develop leads and create new business for 1900 Wealth.
Independently market and develop new relationships in accordance with the investment management philosophy and methodology of 1900 Wealth Management (highly diversified, passive investment strategies through institutional mutual funds / ETFs and disciplined rebalancing).
Support alternative investment initiatives.
Strong working knowledge of operations including performance reporting, custodial relationship, trading, and any function related to managing and reporting on accounts.
Help to maintain existing client relationships through the support of the Investment Team based on the unique and evolving circumstances related to each client.
Coordinate client relationships related to financial assets through Jefferson Bank's Trust Department and Private Banking.
Coordinate with clients, prospects and internal bank employees providing support to further develop relationships and schedule meetings.
Provide excellent client service to clients and prospects.
Participate in marketing outreach, including public relations, communications and events which may be held outside of normal business hours.
Grow and expand investment knowledge base.
Operate under the provisions of the Investment Advisors Act of 1940 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Work Experience 15 years' experience as an Investment Advisor, with demonstrated results in business development and investment management.
Alternative investment experience/knowledge preferred.
Demonstrated sophisticated and in-depth knowledge of wealth management and financial planning working with high-net-worth individuals and families.
Integrity and accountability Supervisory Experience Experience leading teams preferred.
Driving Position Yes, valid driver's license required Education/Skills/Experience Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university CFA or CFP, preferred Series 65 license or obtain within 90-days of employment Equipment/Machines/Software Excellent computer literacy in all Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
Knowledge of a performance reporting system is a plus, i.e.
Tamarac, Black Diamond, Advent, Money Guide Pro etc.
Ability to work with office equipment including telephones, computers, digital devices, copy machines and scanners Competency Requirements Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
