Who are we looking for? We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organized professional to join our team as a Senior Investment Associate. This person will be responsible for coordinating the setup of investment products and programs with our partner custodians, advisors, fund/insurance companies, and investment managers. They will be responsible for maintaining and updating investment products for plans currently on the platform. They will be responsible for managing internal and external communications around investments with various stakeholders including clients, vendors, and partners.
While primarily operational in nature, our team sits at a unique intersection of clients, operations, and strategy, and the role reflects this multifaceted nature. The job requires keen attention to detail and the ability to track multiple projects and communicate with 3rd parties across multiple platforms.
What will you be doing? In this position, you'll be responsible for a number of items, as it pertains to the investment management operational oversight and implementation. The job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Partnering with our plan sales and implementations teams to vet and implement the investment options for plans being brought onto the Vestwell platform; this includes both cost and asset class coverage analysisCoordinating with our custody partners to ensure a seamless new plan onboarding processLiaising with Fund and Insurance companies to ensure appropriate processes are in place for making funds available within plansWorking with 3rd party investment managers and advisors to define onboarding and ongoing requirementsEnsuring investment performance and fact sheets are updated regularlyReviewing and processing of Fund/Model Changes within Investment Program LineupsRequirements The Necessities:
The ability to understand the "big picture" and the importance of the team's role in the overall processExcellent communication skills across internal stakeholders and external partner groupsPassion for learning and applying new concepts, and bridging information where continued process-development is keyThe ability to self-manage around tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment while ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the detailsStrong technical proficiency using Excel and process management tools3 - 5 Years of Retirement Recordkeeping Experience.The Extras:
Previous experience within financial services, with a focus on investment operations and fund implementationExperience with Participant AgreementsExperience with CIT Agreements.The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000. Please note that salary bands are based on NY and other similar metro areas and may differ based on where the role is ultimately hired.
