Salary Range: $91,800 - $100,980 per year
Schedule: Monday to Friday with any 8 hours between 8:00 am - 6:00 pm.
This is a hybrid position with minimum 3 days per week onsite in office located in Boston, MA.
Job Summary:
St.
Francis House seeks a Senior Major Gifts Officer to join a dynamic and growing development team to be responsible for advancing relationships with individual donors who have the capacity to make significant philanthropic investments to the organization.
The Senior Major Gifts Officer will focus on a portfolio of approximately 150 donors and prospects with the capacity to give at least $10,000 annually, implementing strategies to qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors towards annual, endowed and planned gifts that support the priorities of St. Francis House.
Reporting to the Director of Major Gifts and partnering closely with other members of the development team, this role will significantly contribute to the team's ambitious fundraising goals to support the vital work of St. Francis House.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of approximately 150 individual donors and prospects with the capacity to make gifts of at least $10,000 to the organization.
Effectively and efficiently move prospects through the donor pipeline to successfully solicit and close gifts.
Collaborate with Development colleagues to create cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for major donors.
Collaborate with colleagues across the agency to create meaningful points of engagement for donors and prospects.
Create, execute and track strategy for all donors in assigned portfolio.
Conduct a minimum of 8-10 donor meetings monthly, traveling regionally as necessary.
Adhere to agency code of conduct.
Perform other duties as assigned.
RequirementsBachelor's degree and a minimum of five (5) years of development experience with demonstrated success in soliciting Annual Fund and major gifts required, preferably in an organization with a human services mission.
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience securing 5 and 6-figure gifts.
An understanding of the Greater Boston philanthropic community.
Experience with computers, including the use of email programs, web-based tools, Microsoft Office applications, and proficiency with donor management software (CRM databases, Raisers' Edge a plus).
Must have a driver's license in good standing and access to a vehicle.
Lived experience of homelessness and/or recovery a plus.
