Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting Overview:
The Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting is responsible for managing the monthly financial close process for corporate costs, holding companies, and Canadian entities.
The role ensures strong financial controls, oversees treasury transactions and expense accruals, and supervises accounting staff.
The position also includes managing the accounts payable function, coordinating external audits, and driving process improvements across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the accounting close for corporate costs and international entities. Supervise accountants and oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis. Provide mentorship and ensure staff development through training and cross-functional collaboration. Manage accounts payable, vendor setup, and expense cross-charging. Liaise with third-party accounting firms to prepare financial statements and ensure timely filings. Ensure compliance with international statutory requirements. Spearhead automation and process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Required Skills:
Strong attention to detail, results-driven, and self-motivated. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Hyperion Financial Management, Microsoft Dynamics SL, and Blackline is a plus. Strong ability to build and foster relationships across multiple business units and levels of the organization. Adaptability to change and a continuous improvement mindset. Qualifications:
8+ years of accounting experience. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred. Proven experience in process improvement, leadership, and financial reporting.
