Responsible for the overall operational plan, performance and improvement of an entire value stream operation within a manufacturing facility. Develop, lead and coach salaried and hourly team members to achieve high performance in the areas of safety, quality, delivery and cost.

How You'll Create Possibilities MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS: Oversees maintenance operations for an entire value stream within a plant.

Own and prepare the annual operational plan/playbook for a maintenance value stream. Responsible for operational performance and improvement of key metrics including safety, quality, delivery, cost and culture. Monitor and control total maintenance expense costs. Maintain maintenance total weekly overtime. Improve equipment uptime in the factory. Create Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) Vision, including strategy for increasing completion rate of PMs by manufacturing area. Execute new maintenance culture, driving engagement and collaborative problem-solving. Manage 2 salaried and the plant's skilled-trade maintenance employees. Create a process for determining priority of maintenance work orders. CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Live, promote and teach the Appliance Production System philosophy and drive continuous improvement within the value stream operation.

Lead and promote work team(s) that react aggressively to factory inefficiencies. Engage all members of cross-functional escalation team to address and resolve problems. Continuously identify and work to reduce waste in the area. Serve as a second-level responder within the escalation process for problems/issues within the value stream operation. Lead regular meetings to review department issues. LEADERSHIP: Provide active day-to-day leadership for a highly energized, integrated, cross-functional team.

Create goals for each member of the team. Ensure individual career coaching, performance feedback, employee training and talent development. Lead employee disciplinary investigation and action as appropriate. Recruit resources to fill team needs in a timely fashion. Develop and mentor future leaders for the business. Partner with site Human Resources team to ensure fair and consistent administration of all policies. SAFETY: Responsible for the overall safety performance and metrics for the value stream operation.

Promote a strong safety-minded culture in the value stream. Enforce compliance to safety rules and procedures. Review and sign off on all accident investigations. Manage the department's safety action item list. What You'll Bring to Our Team ADDITIONAL JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS OR QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree OR equivalent with technical degree, preferred OR 5 years of experience in a manufacturing/operations leadership role. Demonstrated ability to work and lead collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment. Organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks. High level of initiative, energy and motivation to develop and grow in a team environment. Strong technical competency and experience. Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to facilitate team projects. Strong problem-solving and follow-through ability. Desired Characteristics Bachelor Degree. Six Sigma certification with strong knowledge of LEAN, DMAIC, workout and other change mechanisms. Demonstrated leadership responsibility in a union manufacturing environment. Lean Manufacturing implementation experience. Demonstrated accomplishments showing Results-driven methodology. Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
