SUMMARY
The Senior Manager, Market Research & Market Intelligence will establish, grow, and lead strategic customer and market insights for Jewelers Mutual Group.
This leader and their team will leverage a deep understanding of the jewelry and insurance marketplaces, as well as new emerging marketplaces, along with their communities and customers to advance our enterprise, marketing, and customer strategies.
The primary goals of this role include deriving insights that the business can use to create a more personalized customer experience and developing primary research for external sharing that supports brand growth within target markets.
This individual will be responsible for driving and creating customer journey maps for various products and personas, partnering cross-functionally to identify areas of opportunity, and prioritize optimization of key meaningful moments along the journey that will drive the most engagement, positive customer sentiment/actions, and advocacy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Gather, analyze, synthesize, and distribute actionable insights on products, market conditions, journeys, competitors, customers, and more to drive business related decision-making.
Provide in-depth market assessments for the jewelry industry and emerging new markets to internal and external audiences, working seamlessly with robust datasets (qualitative and quantitative).
Partner across marketing, customer care, finance, operations, product, and technology to influence and deliver company-wide data objectives.
Function as a strong influencer for competitive strategies that enable the business to develop competitive offerings and solidify the company's position in the market.
Leverage data and insights to advocate for the customer experience and needs.
Partner with the broader Marketing team to develop primary research for external sharing and amplification.
Develop a capability roadmap and own the successful implementation of research capabilities and insights stewardship, including creating protocol, documenting reporting features, establishing KPIs, creating easy-to-use dashboards, and other related execution tactics.
Lead, manage, and mentor direct report team, including budgets, forecasting, and all third-party research partners/agencies.
20-25% travel.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Fulfills leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving conflicts.
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
10+ years of related experience required.
Demonstrated success with advanced analytic research techniques like max diff, conjoint analysis, regression, correspondence analysis, PLS, SEM, cluster analysis, and other multivariate statistics or data science techniques, with expert knowledge of their application to specific business problems.
Demonstrated innovation, knowledge, and expertise in survey research techniques, methods, and tools, including construction of survey instrument flow, customer experience design and journey mapping, persona development, and customer segmentation.
Flexible communication style with ability to adapt content to connect with individuals at all levels both internally and externally.
Strong enthusiasm for digital trends and emerging technologies, including applicable AI tools.
