The Global Risk & Compliance Organization (GRC) is an independent risk management function, led by the Chief Risk Officer, with theobjectiveof ensuringthat American Expressoperatesin a safe, sound, and fully compliant manner with all applicable regulatory expectations. GRC creates andmaintainsthe overall riskmanagement framework, performs independent risk management assessments, andmonitorsapplicable risks.

As theSenior Managerof Learning and Development for Operational Risk Management, you will play a pivotal role in executingthe firm's operational risk training initiatives.Thisteamisresponsible fordesigning, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive learning programs to enhance the organization's risk management capabilities.

How will you make an impact in this role?
Play a role inexecuting againsta strategic learning and development roadmap aligned with Amex's operational risk managementobjectivesand regulatory requirements
Createinnovative and engaging training content, including e-learning modules, workshops, simulations, and experiential learning opportunities
Collaborate with subject matter experts and key stakeholders across the organization toidentifylearning needs and prioritize training initiatives
Delivertraining programs globally, ensuring consistency in content, quality, and effectiveness
Evaluate the impact of training interventions through metrics and analytics, refining programs to drive performance improvement
Incorporate relevant insights into learning initiatives from industry practices, emerging trends, and regulatory developments in operational risk management
Serve as a thought leader and advocate for a culture of risk awareness and accountability throughout theBlueBox, promoting learning and professional development
Support audits and exams asneeded

Qualifications:
2+yearsofexperiencein learning and development within the financial services industry, specificexpertisein operational risk managementpreferred
Understanding of risk management principles, frameworks, and regulatory requirements (e.g., Basel III, Dodd-Frank Act, MiFID II, etc.)
Experience designing and delivering training programs for diverse audiences, including front-office staff, risk professionals, and senior executives
Strongcommunication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across organizational levels
Demonstrated ability to drive change and innovation,leveragingtechnology and data analytics to enhance learning outcomes
Strong teamplayer, and self-motivation with the ability to handle multiple work streams across geographical locations and ad-hoc taskssimultaneously
Relevantcertifications (e.g., FRM, PRM, CFA) and membership in professional associations (e.g., GARP, PRMIA) are a plus

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
