Senior Manager, Procure-To-Pay

LHH is working with a late-stage clinical biopharmaceutical client in Palo Alto to hire a Procure-to-Pay Senior Manager. This position will take the lead in scaling procure-to-pay processes relating to clinical trials. Our ideal candidate will have experience with clinical trials finance, building procure-to-pay processes, and using coupa. This company is based in Palo Alto and offers a hybrid work arrangement. Target compensation is $155k-$185k, plus bonus and equity.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage vendors and related inquiries, adhering to departmental deliverables, and perform reviews.
• Collaborate with Procurement and Accounts Payables to resolve vendor inquiries.
• Provides analyses for complex summaries, proposals and special projects relative to a diverse range of topics to include new financial procedures and / or services, changes in legal regulations, tax implications, etc.
• Work with a procurement management system to enter site and vendor contracts and budgets.
• Manage site payment system by performing site contract setup, entering study budgets, reviewing study specifications and populating required data to produce invoices to generate site payments to ensure the accuracy and execution of site payments.
• Facilitate and distribute payment invoices to clinical sites according to payment schedule.
• Provide analysis, cost compairsons, variance analysis around procure to pay data.
• Data extraction and analysis using Coupa.
• Build, design, and execute clinical site payment process.
• Enhance operational excellence within the team by creating useful data automation wherever possible.

Skills and Competencies:
• 5-15 years of relevant professional experience
• Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or Business
• Expereince with clinical trials procurement
• Excellent communication and internal customer service mentality
• Coupa experience strongly preferred
