JOB SUMMARY

Leads comprehensive technical oversight of a project program to ensure the timely delivery of their objectives, verifying adherence to internal protocols and requirements. Assumes accountability for facilitating the review, consolidation, and delivery of documentation pertaining to Ride & Show Systems, encompassing Audio, Special Effects, Projection, Lighting, Set/Scenic Design, Props, Show Action Equipment, Animated Figures, Ride Mechanical Systems, Ride Control, and Show Control Systems. Diligently evaluates compliance with pertinent industry standards, codes, regulations, and internal Universal standards via auditing processes.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Drives the strategic direction for 8+ projects or Gate Level Projects, ensuring prompt and successful completion deliverable compliance. Assists development and leads implementation of new or modified compliance program audit strategies to project compliance teams.
Understands AHJ requirements and used a liaison for AHJ representatives. Assists in determining which AHJ requirements are applicable as new areas are developing.
Strategizes with project executives and program executives to ensure timely completion. Assists collaboration with Universal leadership to streamline compliance processes. Develops strategies to mitigate risks associated with systemic issues within program that are visible through projects.
Responsible for ensuring the transition of deliverables from multiple project teams to Operations and overseeing project closeout activities.
Works with department leads to ensure processes are working and will resolve systemic issues. Responsible for assisting creation and execution of new processes to increase efficiencies and mitigate risks.
Leads additional process development and execution and assist in determining which risks to resolve. Guides team on implementing new processes.
Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Microsoft Office suite, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, SharePoint experience preferred.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to organize and manage a complex series of tasks and vendor(s) to develop and implement show and ride systems.
Strength in schedule analysis and contract management required.
Comfortable Influencing decisions of major nature. High degree of tact & diplomacy to obtain favorable decisions or maintain goodwill.
Comfortable working in a non-routine environment with frequently changing situations.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in an applicable technical field preferred. Advanced degrees preferred.
EXPERIENCE

7+ Years: Projects experience within the entertainment/theme park industry required. Any experience in Theme Park development, construction, show and ride systems design or fabrication is preferred.
