Responsibilities: Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming. Oversee the development, creation, and modification of Autodesk's security and privacy-related computer applications software or specialized utility programs. Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan the installation of a new security-related system or modification of an existing system. Determine security-related system performance standards. Lead and manage a high-performing software engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and career growth. Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of security software development projects, ensuring they align with Trust organizational goals and standards. Allocate resources efficiently, balancing workloads and priorities to maximize team productivity. Maintain a deep understanding of software engineering principles, industry best practices, and emerging technologies. Provide technical guidance to the team, promoting the adoption of best practices, coding standards, and efficient development methodologies. Contribute to the development of the software engineering roadmap and strategy in alignment with overall business objectives. Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the software development lifecycle. Implement and oversee quality assurance processes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. Facilitate clear communication within the team and across departments, ensuring transparency and alignment of goals. Hire and onboard new team members. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States. Telecommuting is permitted.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in Information Assurance, Computer Science or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a technical/engineering-related occupation. Skill Requirements: Position requires at least 4 years of experience in each of the following skills:
Manage vulnerabilities, identify weaknesses, and ensure timely patching and remediation to maintain a secure environment.Create and promote secure software development best practices such as secure coding & reviews and threat modeling within the organization.Ability to effectively interact with customers to comprehend their pain points and address their concerns by prioritizing bugs and features that improve user experience.Demonstrate track record of providing leadership and guidance to interns or entry-level employees, helping them to develop their skills and succeed in their roles. This includes mentoring, coaching, and creating training programs or resources as needed to ensure that new team members can quickly and effectively contribute to the organization.Expertise in agile and scrum methodologies, essential for managing software development projects that demand flexibility and iterative development.Expertise in software development principles and technologies like CI/CD to understand and guide the work of the development team effectively.Position also requires at least 2 years of experience in each of the following skills:
Ability to coordinate and lead distributed teams across different time zones. Experience in leveraging remote work tools and technologies to facilitate team communication and productivity.Expertise in security principles and technologies, including encryption, cryptographic techniques, system configuration for resilience, risk assessment, compliance with frameworks like NIST and ISO 27001 to safeguard digital assets, guarantee data integrity, and maintain system availability.Position also requires at least 1 year of experience in each of the following skills:
Proficiency in utilizing strategy frameworks such as SWOT analysis, GAP analysis, or the Balanced Scorecard to analyze existing processes and workflows, pinpointing areas ripe for enhancement, and employing strategic planning expertise to craft organizational strategies that seamlessly align with overarching business goals and objectives.About Autodesk: Welcome to Autodesk! Salary transparency: Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $217,392 - $230,000/year. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
