We have an immediate need for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at our aerospace location in Rockford, ILL. The primary focus of this role is to support the facility operations by alleviating technical and logistical issues, providing corrective action for quality issues, and provide optimization for design and manufacturing opportunities. Duties & Responsibilities include: Apply manufacturing engineering skillsets across the extended value stream to resolve constraints and improve process and product designs Leverage knowledge and technical skills to influence business decisions and results from new designs to recurring production Design, control, and improve the producibility of products through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team Assist, lead, and coordinate projects, efforts and improvements across the extended value streams Act as a mentor and trainer to manufacturing engineers Identify and resolve constraints across the program Participate in corrective action investigation Provide technical input and peer review to engineering design changes Provide technical guidance and problem solving to factory engineers Participation in ERB/CCB, LOB, production increment planning, the program Ops representative Providing Effectivities for Variances/IR's/CN's Help with communication between the facility and the program: Informing program of major factory issues Informing facility of major program changes Communicating across different factory levels Creating and managing Material Master and MBOM requests Addressing large scale quality issues that affect the factory Understanding the configurations of hardware that are planned to be built for a contract, and helping to ensure the factory is prepared Assist with future contract proposals by providing the BOMS for applicable hardware configurations and other tasks The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education and experience: Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience Microsoft skills SAP experience is a plus Due to the nature of the work, you must be a US Citizen Benefits begin on day one: 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Employer paid Life Insurance, Short- & Long-Term Disability Quest Global is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
