Job Description We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead our engineering team in designing and developing advanced systems and equipment. Key Responsibilities
- System Analysis and Optimization: Evaluate existing mechanical systems, equipment, and processes to identify areas for improvement, focusing on safety, efficiency, and productivity. Provide expert recommendations for system upgrades or enhancements.
- Project Leadership: Lead a team of engineers, guiding them in the design, development, and implementation of new systems or modifications to existing systems. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and technical excellence.
- Design and Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and design high-quality systems that align with project objectives. Develop detailed project plans, including cost and time estimates, to ensure timely and within-budget project completion.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee the testing and validation phases to ensure new designs and changes meet required specifications and standards. Participate actively in troubleshooting and adjusting systems based on test results.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of all engineering processes, including designs, project plans, progress reports, and performance metrics. Generate detailed documentation for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Mentorship and Development: Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on best practices in mechanical engineering and fostering a culture of continuous learning within the team.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies. Conduct risk assessments and implement safety protocols as needed.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field is required; a masters degree is preferred.
- Certifications: FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) and PE (Professional Engineer) certifications are highly desired.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a proven track record of leading engineering projects and teams.
- Skills:
- Leadership: Strong leadership and team-building skills, with experience in mentoring and guiding a diverse team of engineers.
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of mechanical design, analysis, and simulation software. Familiarity with CAD, FEA, and other engineering tools.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to various stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to analyze complex systems, identify inefficiencies, and implement innovative solutions.
