The team you will be a part of
The Merchandising team develops marketing, merchandising, and creative strategies and affiliated programs to promote the organization's products and services through the Internet or other digital channels to increase exposure to and business from the target audience.
This role in summary
Currently, Whirlpool is seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Merchandising Analyst (Trade Strategy and Operations) to join the Commercial Strategy and Operations team within the sales organization. This role reports directly to the Director of E-commerce, Strategy, and Operations, with accountability cross-functionally for providing clear communications and discipline to key business processes.#LI-DD1
Your responsibilities will include
Cross-functional lead:  Manages projects across Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Integrated Supply Chain (ISC)
Lead Sell In Toolkit publication; a key tool to support product knowledge, sales & feature differentiation strategy
Facilitate updates of the Why ISE (Integrated Supply Chain) deck quarterly
Facilitate Monthly Ops Presentation
Facilitate Monday Staff Deck and Agenda with Sales staff
Create a channel review template and facilitate population monthly
Create & Maintain Competitive Shop Summaries for Key Accounts/Channels, with Sales & Marketing Team support
Create promo strategy pro forma inclusive of; profitability, post-audit process & audit approval  
Create Risks & Opportunities Process, facilitate updates & integration into sales/operations planning & forecasting
Develop COOP marketing and price strategy
Run monthly sell-through planning meetings with ISC and Sales to develop go-to-market plans
Develop and organize various internal & external communications & decks
Maintain a cross-category view of product launches/timing to facilitate on-time, profitable 
Manage products, reports, and marketing assets needed for trade shows and customer visits

Minimum requirements
Bachelor's Degree  
3+ years of experience in training, communications, merchandising, sales, finance, category management or pricing strategy
Ability and willingness to travel domestically upwards of 25% to Insinkerator Headquarters (Racine, WI), Whirlpool Global Headquarters (Benton Harbor, MI) & Key Customer/Trade Meetings/Events 

Preferred skills and experiences
Strong analytical, organizational, decision-making, and presentation skills 
Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills are also essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas, and levels of business 
Fluent across full Microsoft & Google program suites
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Experience leading and participating in cross-functional teams
Understanding of the general marketing environment and impacts of competitive activities, including a general understanding of the disposer industry and the activities that impact the forecast 
Strong communication skills - managing and communicating effectively and confidently upwards, downwards, and across functional boundaries
Strong problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, and process-focused communication skills
