Senior Operations Manager University of California Los Angeles Requisition Number: 38892 Salary: $28.62 - $45.66 Hourly Position Description: Under the direction of the Associate Dean and in collaboration with various partners, the Senior Operations Manager ensures successful implementation and operation of all activities (including programs, events, conferences, workshops and office operations) for UCLA Anderson Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. A successful Senior Operations Manager works with a high degree of autonomy to serve as the primary operational contact for EDI activities within the Anderson community, demonstrating conscientiousness, resourcefulness, consideration of stakeholder needs, seasoned judgment, and integrity in all aspects of work. Enthusiasm, creativity, and a growth mindset in advancing work across a wide-ranging, dynamic, and complex scope ? these are all essential. Specific duties will include: oversight and management of small grant program; making travel arrangements for staff and affiliates; working with vendors and campus resources as necessary to secure equipment and supplies; planning, preparation, monitoring, and administration of a large operating budget (to include accounting, control, budgeting, treasury and investment monitoring duties); management and resolution of supply, equipment, and space needs (including development of detailed cost estimates, sourcing of vendors and partners, provision of insightful recommendations, and production of useful reports) marketing and communications management (e.g., through the website, newsletters, or email/social media announcements); coordinating and facilitating meetings with office affiliates; and office administration (e.g., managing and maintaining the office's calendar of activities; coordinating staff meetings, overseeing the Student EDI Advisory Council, managing room and event reservations, hiring and managing student workers, responding to routine inquiries about office activities; gathering information and data for analysis; regularly reporting on progress and preparing related presentations).
