Job Title: Senior Physical Safety Consultant

About the role: BSI Consulting Services is seeking an experienced Senior Physical Safety Consultant in the Northern California Bay Area. We are looking for Safety leaders who want to join the BSI family. Expectations include a passion for management of projects, managing and mentoring staff, and providing exceptional service to clients. This exciting position has niche technical consulting responsibilities, so we are looking for a unique individual who has technical EHS&S expertise in Physical Safety Consulting. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record with 10-15 years of safety consulting experience.
Responsibilities: Work on complex safety projects reviewing design drawings and providing feedback on design for safety for new construction and tool installation for our clients.Develop and implement safety programs including hazardous energy control, confined space, fall protection, lockout/tagout, hazard communication, Injury and Illness Prevention Programs, etc.Work with cross-functional engineering teams to manage risk.Work effectively to integrate EHS into the fabric and culture of clients. Leverage the safety and health program to build morale and increase productivity of the employees and the operation. Build effective working relationships with onsite teams, subcontractors, and vendors onsite.Perform project management and internal customer management for multiple large clients and help organize staff schedules.Work with the business development team to participate in introductory meetings specifically with clients with safety needs as a technical expert.Develop opportunities, including estimating work scope and price, writing proposals, following up on contacts and meetings, writing blog posts and white papers, and participating on local association boards.To be successful in the role, you will have: Overall understanding and experience in Physical Safety. Semiconductor, pharmaceuticals, and/or high-tech experience is a plus.Undergraduate degree in EHS or related field; Master's degree is a plus.10-15+ years of related experience, preferably in a consulting firm. The salary for this position can range from $120k to $140k annually; actual compensation is based on various factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's competencies, level of experience, education, location, divisional budget, and internal peer compensation comparisons.
