Micron's Global Communications team is seeking an experienced Senior Policy Communications Manager! Reporting to the Director of Global Policy Communications & External Affairs, this role will be based in Washington, D.C. and will work very closely with Micron's Government and Public Affairs (GPA) team.
The Senior Policy Communications Manager will be charged with supporting communications efforts for policy priorities, government affairs efforts, geopolitics, and other high-profile issues. Experience in federal or state government required!
In this role, the Senior Policy Communications Manager will:
Support communications for policy efforts, including assessing policy communications needs across regions and building out a strategy in key locations.
Drive implementation of a global policy communications strategy to execution across coordinated channels, including KPI-setting and measurement.
Support development proactive campaign strategies to educate policymakers and users on key issues related to memory, Micron, and other issues of key importance to policy-focused audiences.
Develop messaging, press releases, blogs, and social media content, to communicate our public policy positions on meaningful issues to key collaborators.
Partner with government and public affairs and legal teams to align on strategic responses to emerging policy issues.
Work with key government collaborators to advance awareness of key Micron policy priorities.
Support ongoing engagement and education of policy-focused media, industry, and policymakers.
Prepare spokespeople for media interviews, policy meetings, and public appearances related to policy issues.
Drive engagement with validators who can serve as third-party voices to reinforce Micron messages.
Support content development for the Micron Policy X handle.
Qualifications and Education:
Bachelor's degree in political science, Business, Business Administration, Communications, or related field and 6+ years of experience in communications for policy or corporate communications or related experience.
Experience in federal and/or state government is required.
Proven understanding of federal and state government dynamics.
Self-starter and ability to move projects efficiently across the finish line.
Established relationships with D.C. tech press, and significant experience working with reporters.
Ability to lead sophisticated issues in an incredibly fast-changing environment.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across complex cross-group organizations.
Proven track record of effective storytelling.
Experience in navigating communications on public policy topics.
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$154,000.00 - $262,000.00
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.
