About The Opportunity This is an opportunity to be part of an exciting and growing Biology team.
The level of the position will be commensurate with the candidate's education and industry experience.
Key Responsibilities: Lead one or more programs from discovery through DC nomination.Independently work to generate, critically analyze and interpret data with scientific rigor and an open mind.Lead the design and execution of immune cell-based experiments.Perform multiparameter flow cytometry-based experiments.Work collaboratively with scientists and research associates within and across teams to accomplish program goals.Thorough documentation of experiments and communication of results with scientific team members and stakeholders.
Presentation of program strategy and progress to research leadership team and at external scientific meetings.Contribute to maintaining a creative and safe laboratory environment.Manage 1 or more direct reports.
Preferred qualifications and past experience: Ph.D.
in Immunology, Cancer Biology or related field.
More than 3+ years of experience in either an academic or industrial setting.
B.S./M.S.
with more than 8+ years of experience in Immunology, preferably in Immuno-oncology.The ideal candidate would have a strong background in tumor Immunology with a deep understanding of how cytotoxic T cells recognize and eliminate target cells.
Familiarity with TCR/HLA biology preferred.Experience with techniques related to T cell immunology and tumor immunotherapy, such as T cell dependent cellular cytotoxicity assays, cytokine analysis, and flow cytometry (including FlowJo data analysis)Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative fast-moving small biotech environment.Pro-active problem solver, strong interpersonal skills, highly collaborative, and outstanding communication skills.Ability to present and explain research to a wide variety of audiences.
A creative, flexible and self-motivated individual.The candidate must have a passion for conducting experiments and being part of a strong lab team.Management experience is a plus and may position the candidate to build and lead a team of scientists as the company grows.
